After his primary education, Architect Badawe attended architectural school at erstwhile Mumbai's J J College of Architecture, graduating in 1958 and joining up at M/S. Desai & Kirtikar as a fresh graduate. Further education beckoned, however, and he followed the instincts with two years of studying Trop. Arch. from the A.A. School of Architecture at London.

In 1960, the city was a melting pot for various schools of thought and after a fruitful year at Michael Lyell & Assoc., Kensington, the international flavours of the continent drew him to Denmark, where he did a stint at the reputed studios of Herr. Mogens Black Peterson in the country's capital Copenhagen. His hometown was never far away, and he chose to return and begin private practice here. Since 1978, as an Architect and MD, V.V.Architects Pvt. Ltd. and has written various 'scripts' for the city.

As an architect, he feels strongly for the social issues and admits that his skills allow him an insight into the city's soul. More recently, this senior architect along with his daughter Vineeta has planned various prominent industrial complexes that follow green building norms. Vestas Wind Energy and Grundfos in Chennai are two such multinationals that follow international standards of environmental planning and technical knowhow.
